2021 Calendars for the Classroom

2021 Monthly Printable and Digital Calendars

I used to look for printable calendars each year until I started making my own. I like these because of their simple design, and notes space. They have so many uses in the classroom, and I detail many of the ways I’ve used them, below. These printable calendars are perfect to give to students to track individual goals in the classroom. I also love to use them as a super affordable gift for adults at Christmas from students. The editable pdf version allows you to customize each of the calendars digitally before printing or saving.  Just edit and print! They’re also great for sending to families detailing special events and activities for the month- especially the digital version. Here are some of my favorite ways to use my printable calendars in the classroom along with links to the 2021 calendars.

2021 Printable Calendar Gifts for Parents

I’m always looking for student-centered and affordable parent Christmas. The gift version of the file includes bubbled letters for the month so students can decorate each month. Students also decorate the cover, and the back of each month for hanging.  I love the affordability of this parent Christmas gift is- I print on white cardstock, and bind using the machine at school.  These are also easy to add to the classroom throughout the weeks leading up to break. As students have a few minutes, they can work on decorating their calendars.  To access the 2021 Gift Calendars Gifts, sign up for my newsletter using the form below.  After signing up, you’ll receive an email with instructions and the password for accessing my Freebie Library.  Be sure to check your promotions and spam tabs on Gmail if you can’t find it. READING LOG

Reading logs can result in mixed feelings.  I’ve found, for many of my students, they need some sort of piece of accountability for their independent reading.  This printable calendars allows me to have students record their reading in a quick and easy way. They just leave the calendar in their daily binder.  Because we do AR, students record their scores on their AR quizzes and then they can keep track of their AR goal.  I’ve also used it to have students track how many pages of their book they have read. I don’t make students fill out the title or other information- just something quick. Of course, it could also be sent home as a reading log for students to track their evening reading.

INTERVENTION & PROGRESS MONITORING

It can be difficult to track classroom interventions, especially when they’re fluid groups. I’m often pulling quick groups for 5-10 minute small group lessons on specific skills and it can be difficult to record which students received the intervention on specific days due to absences.  Because these are during morning work and independent reading times, I don’t always have a set frequency for meeting the intervention.  I use these calendars to record the students’ name, what we worked on and for how long, and any necessary progress monitoring data based on that group work.  I just keep each student’s calendar nearby in a binder and then I have it available for recording our official interventions to have the data available for RtI. I write the student’s name on the page, and track by student for ease of compilation.

GOAL TRACKING

These printable calendars are perfect for individual goal tracking as they’re open ended and students can record any goal you agree upon.  You can use them for a set goal for all, or to have individualized goals for students to track on their own. Student goal setting can build motivation and investment, and these calendars are easy for any classroom goal with students.

PARENT COMMUNICATION TOOL

If you have a lot of events at your school, or have a different focus each week (like a preschool or thematic learning), these calendars would be helpful to give parents a look at what’s coming up.  The editable pdf version is perfect for this- just update the calendar in Adobe Reader and print it and send home.  To download the editable pdf version, be sure to sign up for my newsletter. Then, access my Freebie Library for the quick and easy download!  Open with Adobe Reader, edit as you need, then print and send home!
