As always, the end of the school year snuck up on me a little bit. I mean, don’t get me wrong; I was SO ready for the end of the year. But suddenly, I felt like “Holy moly! I need to get some student gifts!” I know not everyone gives end of the year student gifts, but I like to give them a little something. I definitely am intentional with how much money I spend
The last few weeks of school have been insanely busy! On top of the normal end of year stuff, this year my school is closing and so there’s a million packing, moving, starting a new job things that I’m also trying to do. Then I’ve had a million events in the evenings as well. The kids still have 5 days, and then the teachers have two more, and so we still have a bit of
Wow! It’s been an incredibly long time since I last posted. Sometime in March I found out it was very likely I would no longer have a position at my school. I love my school. We have a fantastic staff and have been able to do phenomenal things with kids. I’ve been incredibly sad and disappointed that I’ll be leaving. The staff only found out this week so I felt like I couldn’t say anything.
I’ve spent the last 15 years teaching in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades, and working beside elementary classrooms as an instructional coach and resource support.
